We are please to announce more details of the NHS COVID-19 vaccination campaign for spring 2024. Once again Gateway Chemist is dedicated to providing essential vaccination service to safeguard the health and well-being of our community.

Important information

Dates: vaccinations on-site should start by 22 April 2024 and end on 30 June 2024. Bookings will be available, on-line will start a week before.

On the other hand private COVID-19 vaccination is going to be available in our pharmacy from the 8th April 2024.

NHS Eligibility: In spring 2024, the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) advises to offer free COVID-19 vaccine to:

  • adults aged 75 years and over
  • residents in a care home for older adults
  • individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed (as defined in tables 3 or 4 in the  Covid-19 chapter of the Green Book

Private COVID-19 vaccination will be a convenient option for those individual who are not eligible for a free NHS vaccination but looking to receive the vaccine.

Vaccine: We will be using XBB.1.5 vaccines throughout the spring 2024 campaign, as deployed in the autumn 2023. Non-mRNA vaccines will not be supplied in the NHS programme.

Safety measures: Our pharmacy adheres to strict safety protocols to ensure a safe and efficient vaccination process for all participants.

Appointments: Patient who are eligible will receive an invitation letter to book an appointment. Those individuals who are not eligible but willing to receive a private COVID-19 vaccination please contact us now by calling 0208 346 4530 to schedule your appointment.

Community support: We are here to support and guide you through the vaccination process addressing any concerns or queries you may have.

We encourage all eligible individuals to participate in the Spring NHS COVID vaccination campaign. By getting vaccinated, we collectively contribute to the fight against Coronavirus and protect our community health.
