NHS Prescriptions

The Medicines Act (2003) stipulates that we have to have your physical prescription in our possession before we can dispense it. For your convenience we have set up a freepost mailbox, just write “Freepost Gateway Chemist” on the envelope, where you and/or your doctor can send your prescriptions directly to us, and we then process it and deliver your medication to you.

We are also now Electronic Prescription Service 2 (EPS2) ready, i.e. if your surgery is EPS2 enabled, (see EPS2 deployment map) you can ask your doctor to nominate us as your preferable pharmacy, and we will download your prescription, dispense it ready for you to pick up.
