We are happy to announce that we are now offering a vaccination for Dengue fever, a mosquito borne viral infection. This vaccine provides protection against all four serotypes of the dengue virus and can significantly reduce the risk of contracting this potentially severe illness.

About dengue fever:

Dengue fever is a viral infection transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. It is prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions around the world. Symptoms of dengue fever include high fever, severe headache, join and muscle pain, swollen glands, rash, feeling or being sick (nausea and vomiting) and in severe cases, bleeding complications.

Dengue fever vaccine

The name of the dengue fever vaccine we offer is Qdenga. Here are some point about the vaccine:

  • Safety and efficacy: Clinical trials have demonstrated that safety and efficacy of Dengue vaccine. It has been shown to provide significant protection against dengue infection and reduce the severity of the disease if contracted
  • Administration: The vaccine is administrated as an injection under the skin (subcutaneous) in the upper arm.The vaccine is primarily recommended for individuals living in or traveling to areas where dengue fever is endemic. It is suitable for both adults and children aged 9 years and above
  • Booster doses: Booster doses may be required to maintain long-term immunity. Our healthcare provider will provide guidance on the vaccination schedule and any necessary booster doses
