The Medicines Act (2003) stipulates that we have to have your physical prescription in our possession before we can dispense it. For your convenience we have set up a freepost mailbox,Just write "freepost Gateway Chemist" on the envelope, where you and/or your doctor can send your prescriptions directly to us, and we then process it and deliver your medication to you.
We are also now Electronic Prescription Service 2 (EPS2)ready,i.e.if your surgery is EPS2 enabled,(see EPS2 deplyment map:http://www.connectingforhealth.nhs.uk/systemsandservices/eps/library/deploymap) you can ask your doctor to nominate us as your preferable pharmacy,and we will download your prescription,dispense it ready for you to pick up.
